Matthew 25:34-40
"Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
"For I was hungary, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:"
"Naked, and ye clothe me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me."
"Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungary, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?"
"When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?"
"Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?"
"And the King shall answer and say unto them, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, INASMUCH AS YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME."
Those words were spoken by Jesus concerning the future judgment. We are accountable for our brothers and sisters no matter where they are located.
Being a christian is more than just a statement, but it is reaching to the world to not only give them the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but to take the next: Reaching for the Hurting,The Hungary, The Poor, The Homeless, The Sick, and any other ministry that God sets before us.
The Great Commission was also given by Jesus. "Go ye therefore, and teach ALL nations, baptizing hem in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus never sent the hungary away; whether it was 'spiritual food' that was needed or 'physical food.'
In Mark 8:2-3, Jesus quoted these words: "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:"
"And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far."
His disciple did not understand His statement and said how can anyone feed this many people here in the wilderness?
"How many loaves do you have?" Seven loaves and a few small fishes...
He commanded the people to sit down on the ground: took the loaves and the fishes and blessed them...and four thousand people were fed. (Cf. Matt.15:32-39)
Nothing is impossible with God if our heart is into what He has commanded us to do.
THE QUESTION IS DO WE HAVE THE SAME HEART THAT CHRIST HAS?
He once said that the poor we will always have with us. Yes, even those who are huting in this world for many reasons...we need to reach as far as we can until we touch the lives of those that God has assigned us.
Everywhere Jesus went He brought hope to the sick by healing them from their infirmities; the blind eyes were opened and lame walked. He visited homes where ministry was needed.
Never tired of reaching for His people because there was no other way for it to be done.
He took time with the children; with the leper; took time to ask, Who touched me, just out it was a woman that had and issue of blood for twelve years..and then sent her on her way completely delivered...
She crawled to Him, but she was able to walk away healed..
Nothing stopped Jesus because He had a heart of compassion..not even the cross. He went there to die for us...
Shed His blood for the saving of His people; stripes on His back was for the healing of His people and later said that when He left to go back to the Father, we would do the same works as He did, and greater.
The love of God in us will and should cause us to reach for the people Jesus gave so much for...
Are you ready to hear the call that may send you into many areas, but at the end you will hear Jesus say."Well done thou good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of the Lord"
ETERNITY WILL PAY OFF IF WE WORK NOW!!!
Would you even be willing to die for another? The Word of God says a brother should be willing to die for another, and that doesn't leave out anyone, male or female.
Ready To Go?
Think about it! Jesus gave His all!!! What will you and I give?
God bless you as you read this and may God speak to your hearts and take the Command serious..
